The Website Is Ready for Launch: Pinch Me, I’m Dreaming
Wow. I honestly can’t believe I’m actually saying this.
After what feels like an eternity of staring at blinking cursors, wrestling with CSS, deleting rogue semicolons that apparently broke the universe, and consuming enough caffeine to power a small medieval village, I’ve finally finished the last round of checks.
In just 17 days, my website — The Seven Realms — will go live.
Give me a moment. Chair dance. Deep breath. Okay, I’m back.
But seriously… who would have believed that when I started this project ten years ago, it would lead me right here?
The Tiny Dictators Who Started It All
If we’re assigning blame for this impending digital extravaganza, it lands squarely on my three grandkids: two granddaughters and one grandson.
Back then, these tiny dictators demanded nightly stories about elves, fairies, magical creatures, and perilous quests. At first, I could wing it. But children have terrifyingly good memories. By week two, they were fact‑checking me.
“Grandpa, didn’t Accacia lose her wand in the Swamp of Gloom yesterday? Why does she have it back now?”
Gulp.
To save face — and maintain my credibility as the Grandmaster of Bedtime Tales — I started writing everything down in a notebook.
Ten Years, Five Books, and a Whole Lot of Pixie Dust Later
What began as a desperate attempt to survive bedtime turned into an obsession. Ten years later, I have five books ready to publish (hint, hint) and two more brewing in the pipeline. Somewhere along the way, those scattered bedtime stories transformed into a fully fledged fantasy saga.
And now, they’re about to become a real, tangible experience for readers, dreamers, and fantasy‑lovers for generations to come.
Building a website for The Seven Realms wasn’t just about creating a digital storefront — it was about building a portal. Visitors won’t just find books; they’ll find maps I sketched on my kitchen table, lore encyclopedias, character bios, and maybe even a crumb trail of fairy dust.
Can Writing Get Any Better?
Let’s be honest for a second. Can writing really get any better than this?
Well… maybe if a certain literary agent swooped in with a million‑dollar traditional publishing deal and a Hollywood producer called asking about film rights. (My phone is on. Hi Netflix.)
But aside from that? What more could a writer possibly ask for?
I started this journey just trying to make three little kids giggle before sleep took them. Now, I get to share this magical universe with the entire world. The sleepless nights, the writer’s block, the formatting nightmares — they were all worth it. Every single keystroke.
The Countdown Begins
Seventeen days.
That’s how long I have left to obsess over whether the font on the About the Author page is friendly enough, triple‑check that every link works, and maybe — just maybe — get a good night’s sleep before the madness begins.
